TWO locations: Belltown and Downtown/Pioneer Square
Therapy is a place to talk about how thoughts and feelings affect your environment and relationships. Everyone needs a space to do that and reflect on who they are and what they’re doing here, in the present moment, in order to actualize their goals.
I am a psychotherapist working in Belltown/South Lake Union. I work in partnership with a wide array of clients who range from just needing a place to explore their thoughts, to focused therapy on a specific area of distress. I specialize in anxiety/thought disorders and mood disorders. I also have a special interest and have much experience working with folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities and chemical dependency. LGBTQ+ and relationship issues are another strong suit.
My approach is eclectic with training in existentialism, cognitive-behavioral, rational emotive, and solution focused therapy. I also use metaphor and art therapy. I believe that the interaction between client and therapist will naturally lead to a therapeutic style that will yield healing and meaningful emotional experiences.
I started doing therapy in 2010 when I worked in Chennai, India at a mental health facility. Since then, I have worked in community mental health and private practice settings where I have worked group and individual therapy for people from all walks of life, who have many different goals they wish to work on.
I offer 50 minutes sessions to do just that. I approach my work with individuals from the strengths perspective, looking first for what is going well in life and building from there.
